A relaxed newborn session created for those tender first days at home. We move slowly, with plenty of time for feeding, diaper changes, settling, and cuddles. The photographs focus on your baby, the people who love them, and the feeling of your family together. Simple, comfortable, and entirely baby-led.

Signature Session

Around three months, your baby is beginning to show you so much of their personality. This is the wonderfully expressive, smiley stage, full of bright eyes, little coos, tummy time, and those early attempts at rolling over. We’ll keep the session playful and simple, following your baby’s pace and capturing the connection between you. It’s a beautiful record of the baby who is no longer quite newborn, but not yet on the move.

Simple Session

A short and sweet session for the bright, curious stage when your baby is sitting up and full of personality. We’ll capture their expressive little face, wobbly confidence, busy hands, and the joy of seeing the world from a whole new point of view. With a simple, playful approach, there’s no need for a long session to create a beautiful record of this fleeting stage. Perfect for preserving the baby they are just before they’re truly on the move.

Your baby’s first birthday marks an extraordinary year of growing, changing, and becoming their own little person. Whether they are crawling, cruising, standing, or taking a few early steps, this session celebrates all the joyful movement, curiosity, and personality of this age. Choose a short and sweet session focused on your one-year-old, or a longer family session that includes the connection and everyday love surrounding them. Either way, you’ll have beautiful photographs to remember the year that changed everything.

For families who complete all four recommended first-year sessions, a special thank-you awaits at the end. With your final artwork order you will receive a complimentary First Year Keepsake Box perfect for holding onto a lasting collection from the year that changed everything.

  • Not at all. You are welcome to choose the one stage that feels most meaningful to your family. The four sessions are simply my suggested way to document the remarkable changes of baby’s first year, from those early newborn days through their first birthday.

  • The Signature newborn session is intentionally slower and more spacious, with time for feeding, diaper changes, settling, resting, and family photographs. Simple Sessions are shorter, playful milestone sessions designed to capture your baby’s personality at a particular stage.
    Under each session description, I share my recommendation for the kind of experience that often suits that stage best. A relaxed Signature Session is especially lovely for newborn days, while Simple Sessions are a beautiful fit for many short-lived milestone stages.

    These are simply suggestions. You are always welcome to choose either a Signature Session or a Simple Session for any chapter, depending on the experience you prefer.

  • After your session, I carefully prepare your photographs and send a private online gallery for you to enjoy at home. Robin then meets with you for a personal ordering appointment, where she will help you choose the photographs and artwork you would love to live with.

    Most people create an album after each chapter, choose framed pieces for a gallery wall, and select gifts for family.

  • Yes, your websize proofs are included. Your session fee includes the photography experience, professional image preparation, a private online gallery, digital proofs, and a personal ordering appointment.

    Artwork is purchased separately after each session. High-resolution digital files accompany qualifying artwork purchases. This is outlined on the Sessions & Artwork page.

  • The First Year Keepsake Box is a custom-designed, beautifully made keepsake created especially for families who document all four recommended first-year stages with me. It is designed to hold and preserve the photographs, notes, and small mementos from this remarkable year. You will select the photograph or photographs you would like to feature on the box during your ordering appointment.

  • That is completely normal. These sessions are based on your baby’s development and personality, not a rigid age or milestone checklist. We will photograph the stage your baby is actually in - whether that means smiles, sitting, crawling, walking, or simply being wonderfully themselves.

  • Yes. Families who return to photograph their baby’s first year with me receive priority access to my calendar. Babies and family life are not always predictable, so this gives us greater flexibility to find the right time for each stage as your baby grows.

  • Absolutely. While I often love the warmth and personal feeling of photographing your family at home, studio sessions are always possible.

    Once we have a plan for the look and feeling we are creating, I can suggest a studio space that will suit your session beautifully.
